Often when we try to think of what we would really want to do with our time and our life, and if we could make our dreams really come true, we draw a blank; and we just don’t know what we really want to do! We have a block—a cultural block. What if what I want to do doesn’t pay well? What if what I want to do, had too much competition? Then, our imagination fails Our culture has diminished the celebration of our imagination for a very long time. So today is the day to free your imagination.
How to Stimulate Imagination to Free Your Imagination
We are taught to squash the imagination from day one. As we grow up, our imagination needs to be handled in a certain way, or we will lose approval, status and credibility among our peers. Our imagination then is substituted with things that we should buy, have, or do, that actually serves others people dreams and pocketbooks too! (But not our own)
But imagination is the seed of our dreams. We must awaken our imagination to live fully again, if we want to conceive of the dreams that our hearts and soul desires. This thought-step is focused on reawakening your imagination. So to get yours flowing, we ask that you think of one wish you would ask if a genie came to you right now. If I Dream of Genie came to you, and you could ask her for any wish, what would it be?
Free Your Imagination
Just like all the other steps before this, thought-step 7 is a practice that will free your imagination if you practice it every day. What did you wish for? A million dollars? Take it to the next level … what would you do with the million dollars? What would you buy with it? How would it make you feel? Just think of one wish and follow it through its story line to imagine and feel what you would do with that wish.
